In James 1:21-25, the Lord told us to be a doer of His Word and not just a-hear. Many of God’s people think that a doer means just to only be a do-gooder doing everything they can helping people satisfy their needs. That is a misinterpretation and misperception of God’s Holy Word. Many do-gooders have not accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior meaning that they are not a sincere doer of God Word. A Doer of God’s Word is someone who has a one-on-one relationship with Jesus Christ. Our flesh will never be under control unless we start doing what God’s Word instructs us to do. We only see and know things and ourselves in part. The flesh keeps us from achieving God’s perfect will. God is the only one that knows us better then we know ourselves; He is the creator of all things. Being a doer is a daily walk with the Lord building our faith.
God is our Father, Jesus is our Savior, and the Holy Ghost is our Comforter, which encompass many other essential characteristics that give us Power. Acts 1:8 states that ye shall receive power after the Holy Ghost come upon you. The Holy Ghost is the third person of the Trinity and He aids us in doing supernatural things we never did before. By walking in the Spirit we shall not fulfill the lust of the fresh; being the flesh under subjection to the will of God. We all must receive the Holy Ghost to help empower us from the lust of flesh.
In this weeks lesson, you will learn that many people has allow their flesh to control their entire body selling them unto sin. People has allowed the flesh man to stronger then their spirit and soul man. This has led them to lose control of themselves doing that which is convenient with their bodies. Many people has found themselves addicted to smoking, sex, drugs, alcohol, stealing, lying, and many other carnal things of the flesh.
The only way they can be correct themselves is to ask the Jesus to save them in accordance with Romans 10:9. The Apostle Paul talks about his experience with his flesh starting with Romans 7:14. He stated that every time he want to do good evil was always present with him due to the flesh. Paul realized that he need some help and begin to yield himself to the Holy Ghost and use God's Word to defeat the flesh. For man shall not live by bread along but by every word the proceeds from the mouth of God. We are no different; we all are having daily struggles with something. Ask the Lord to help you, study and be doers of His Word. Being a doer of God's Word is not volunteering for every position in the church and in your community. It is understanding and applying the essence of God's Word to your life living Holy everyday.
Our flesh will always be our arch enemy against ourselves and God our creator, if we do not bring it under subjection of the Trinity. I have come to the conclusion in accordance with God's Holy Word that without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5b). We all must abide by God's Word being lead by His Holy Spirit. The flesh of men and women are out of control defiling themselves, their children and their children. Man's flesh has turned the truth of God into lie deceiving themselves and others. The immorality of men and women had lead them to disregard God and the Trinity and the Lord has given them over to a reprobate mind (Roman 1:24-28). Man has become so vile in their lust of the flesh that men are marrying men and women are marrying women and they are teaching their children to do the same thing. This is an abomination against God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. We all must mortify the deeds of our body, (Roman 8:13; Colossians 3:5) in order to reign with God in heaven. The spirit Is Will But The flesh Is Weak (Introduction and Lesson-1: The Trinity and 3 Parts of Man)
This is a series of messages that the Lord revealed to Bishop Dunbar to teach. Many people are struggling trying to find ways to live a meaningful and successful life as Christians. Many people believe that the standards of the Bible and Christan living is too difficult and decides to live as they please. Many of them have been persuaded by what they see, hear, and feel being guided my their imagination. This is a deception, which has been given to men, women, and children by the devil through their only fleshly desires. The devil tried to do the same thing to Jesus after coming off his forty day fast ((Matthew 4:1-10) and before he was crucified on the cross (Matthew 26:42), but Jesus defeated him with the Word of God. It was God's Word that created us and it shall be his Words that shall keep us strong from fulfilling the lust/desires of the flesh. You must be strong in the Lord and in the power of God's might and lean not to your own understanding doing as you please. The Lord said be ye Holy for I am Holy. Proverbs 3:6, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Over the past 30 years serving in various ministries, I have learned that many saint struggle with this scripture to including me. Through my own struggles I have learn that this scripture is vital for us to live as a Christian everyday. Our Creator realized that we would have some difficulties making good choices and decisions due the lustful desires of the flesh along with the temptations of the devil. I have come to understand that with the Lord, I cannot do anything. By have this state of mind I am admitting that I am flawed, insufficient, and cannot function without by Creator, God all might. As long as I acknowledge him in everything I do, He will guide me to make the right decision every time. If you are having problems with your finances, family, children, yourself esteem, on your job, etc.; just acknowledge the Lord and he will help you. What does it mean to you by acknowledging the Lord in all your ways?
